IGPA Membership

Membership Category:

Full Membership: is open to companies, firms, sole traders, organisations or individuals engaged in the trade in General Produce commodities. The Annual Subscription for Full Members is GBP 450.00 plus one off Entrance Fee of GBP 150.00.

Group Membership: is open to companies who are fully owned or at least 75% owned by a parent company which is also in membership of the Association and paying the full Members subscription. The Annual Subscription for Group Membership is 65% discount to Full Membership, with the one off Entrance Fee being waived.

Trade Associate Membership: is restricted to trading companies or firms who have a continuing interest in the commercial practices of Members and traders in which they are engaged but not actively trading in General Produce commodities. The Annual Subscription for Trade Associate Members is GBP 200.00 plus one off Entrance Fee of GBP 100.00.

Institution, Authority or Association Membership: is restricted to any Institution, Authority or Association which are members of kindred associations but not otherwise in membership of the Association. There is no charge for this Membership, and is decided by the Management Committee.

Honorary Membership: Past Presidents and other persons or bodies corporate as the Association sees fit to nominate as recognition of their services to the trade, shall become Honorary Members.

 

All Memberships require a proposer and two seconders and are subject to confirmation by the Management Committee.

• Regular revision of our Standard Contract Terms and Arbitration Rules to reflect customary trade practice.

• Arbitration at reduced cost and fees.

• Publications - Weekly "E-Info’s" (published in Brussels by CELCAA & edited by IGPA) a roundup of the latest developments on various food policy issues from the EU and international organizations. Quarterly "IGPA World" Newsletter informing members of all aspects of the Associations activities.

• Regular Trade Policy circulars and Technical support services.

• Comprehensive Directory of all Members by category, including the commodities in which they trade, accessed through a secure log in section of the IGPA website.

• Fully updated standard forms of Contracts, Rules and Guide of Arbitration and Appeal, Arbitration and Appeal Panels, accessed through a secure log in section of the IGPA website.

• The Rules and Regulations of the Association, accessed through a secure log in section of the IGPA website.

• Vote at the Annual General Meeting (Full & Group Members only)

• Attend and partake of other meetings, seminars and training on topical issues arranged by the Association.

• The opportunity to host a table at the Annual Dinner, an established international networking event.

Simply complete the Application Form and return it, duly signed, to the Secretariat. On receipt of the completed form, it will be submitted to the Management Committee for consideration.
